A brown 300 dollar wagon that "Needs a battery"
If it turns out on inquiry to be a V8 and reasonably unrusted, I think I might. Did any of these barges ever come with a six?

I'd check it out. According to the wiki it could potentially have a 350 or 400, though a 6 is a high possibility.

Wikipedia's not always the best source in the case of Canadian-market cars. Canuck Ponchos have had Chevy engines for decades. According to the brochure , the sedan could be had with a 4.1L V6, but Safaris (Pontiac-speak for wagon) came with one of two V8s. 5.0L (Chevy 305 small block) 2-barrel or 5.7L (Chevy 350 small block) 4-barrel.

When I was growing up, my parents had a wagon very similar to this (theirs was the 1979 Buick Roadmaster/LeSabre wagon, formerly part of a hearse fleet, so everything was nice and heavy duty). It looks incredibly similar to this one. It'll likely have a carbed 350. The car does weigh a lot, and if it has a trailer hitch, it'll likely bottom out when pulling out of parking lots. That being said, it does have quite a towing capacity.
Unfortunately my parents got rid of theirs a few years back. I've been tempted to track down one just like it, for my posterity's sake.

Theres one getting a full restoration at a place down the road, and I helped them shift the chassis. The damn thing is 4 metres long! Biiiiig car.
